Eight years after finishing our first Flexhouse IV, we had the chance to recreate the form in a completely redesigned style. With almost an identical layout, this home reimagined the finishes to highlight a tight and highly intentional palette of primary colors and geometric shapes. With a crisp white Reform kitchen, Donald Judd style furniture, bright pops of color and simple patterns, the main spaces reflect light and from the two story windows. The result is a house that emanates joy and playfulness inside of the exacting passive house level envelope. The exterior is clad in thermally modified wood, but picks up the theme with dark green window cladding and a splash of blue on the standing seam roof.
