Nestled along the edge of a lake in the Western Catskills, this retreat cabin was designed to allow the forest floor to feel like an extension of the interior spaces. Large cut-through windows let the exterior blend when inside while black siding allows the building to hide in the landscape and vanish when out on the lake looking back, giving the clients privacy from the community and a feeling of being embedded in wilderness.
